Blue Archive lets you reroll the tutorial recruitment, but getting the students you really want still means repeating the opening many times. This guide explains how rerolling works, how to read Pyroxene on an account, why many players choose the Japanese server, and when a Blue Archive starter account saves you the trouble.
How rerolling works in Blue Archive
- Start the game with a new account.
- Get through the tutorial and its first 10-pull recruitment.
- Claim the mailbox and beginner rewards to collect Pyroxene.
- Spend the Pyroxene on the current banners and check your 3★ students.
- Not happy? Reset and start over.
Each attempt takes time, and the chance of a specific limited 3★ student on a single pull is small. Rerolling for two or three limited students can take a long time.
Pyroxene, recruits and points
- Pyroxene is the premium currency. One recruit costs 120 Pyroxene, and a 10-pull costs 1,200.
- Recruitment points: each pull on a banner gives a point. With 200 points you can exchange them for the featured student of that banner.
- So 24,000 Pyroxene is roughly one guaranteed featured student. An account with 100,000+ Pyroxene has enough for several banners.
Why a Japanese (JP) account?
The Japanese server is the original version of the game. It has historically received new students, events and story chapters before the Global version, and it has the largest player base. The game is in Japanese, but the menus are quick to learn. Before buying, make sure you can install the Japanese version on your device. An account cannot move between JP and Global.
Which account to choose
- Starter account: 100,000+ to 160,000+ Pyroxene, plus 20 to 25 random 3★ students, including several limited ones. You decide which banners to pull on.
- Account with a chosen student: our Mika (Swimsuit) account includes Mika (Swimsuit), a second limited student of your choice and 150,000+ Pyroxene.

First steps after getting your account
- Change the login details so that only you can access the account.

Can I play on a Global account with this?
No. These accounts are on the Japanese server, and progress cannot be transferred to Global.
