Pokémon TCG Pocket Reroll Guide: Pack Hourglasses, Packs and Crown Rares

In Pokémon TCG Pocket, building a strong collection is mostly a matter of how many packs you can open. Free packs come slowly, so many players reroll or start with an account full of Pack Hourglasses. This guide explains how packs and hourglasses work, how rerolling works, and what a Pokémon TCG Pocket starter account gives you.

Packs and Pack Hourglasses

• A free booster pack recharges every 12 hours. You can open two free packs a day.
• Each Pack Hourglass shortens that wait by one hour, so 12 Pack Hourglasses = 1 pack opened right away.
• Wonder Hourglasses do the same for Wonder Pick, which has its own separate timer.
• Poké Gold is the premium currency, which can also be used to open packs.

That is why an account with thousands of hourglasses is worth so much: it is months of free packs, ready to open on the expansion you choose.

How rerolling works

1. Play the tutorial and open the free packs.
2. Do the beginner missions, which give extra hourglasses for more packs.
3. Look at your best cards. Not happy? Delete the save data from the account menu and start again.

Deleting save data is permanent, and any Poké Gold bought on that account is lost with it, so never buy anything before you are done rerolling. Each attempt also only gives you a handful of packs. Chasing high rarity cards this way takes a lot of time.

What is a Crown Rare?

Crown Rare cards (marked with a gold crown) are the rarest cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. They are very unlikely to appear in a pack, which is why they are so sought after by collectors. Our Crown Rare account includes 1 to 3 random Crown Rares, or a chosen Crown Rare such as Poké Ball or Rare Candy, plus thousands of packs to open.

Which account to choose

• Starter account: 2,200 to 3,420+ packs to open, counted from the Pack Hourglasses, Poké Gold and Wonder Hourglasses on the account.
• Crown Rare account: Crown Rare cards already in your collection, plus packs.

First steps after getting your account

1. Secure the account by changing its login details.
2. Choose which expansion to open: you can spend your hourglasses on the packs you want most.
