Pokémon UNITE Starter Account Guide: Aeos Tickets, Unite Licenses and Holowear

Pokémon UNITE is the free 5-on-5 team battle game from The Pokémon Company, on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android. There is no reroll in the usual sense: you unlock Pokémon with Unite Licenses and grind currencies for items and Holowear. This guide explains what each currency does, and what a Pokémon UNITE starter account gives you.

The currencies in Pokémon UNITE

• Aeos Coins: earned by playing. They buy Unite Licenses in the Unite Battle Committee shop.
• Aeos Gems: the paid currency. They buy Unite Licenses, Holowear and trainer clothes.
• Aeos Tickets: spent in the Aeos Emporium on held items, Item Enhancers and trainer clothes.
• Holowear Tickets: exchanged for Holowear, the Pokémon outfits.

What Aeos Tickets are for

Aeos Tickets do not buy Unite Licenses. Their best use is Item Enhancers: held items level up with them, and maxed held items make a real difference in battle. Thousands of Aeos Tickets let you upgrade the held items of several Pokémon at once instead of saving for weeks.

Unite Licenses and selection boxes

A Unite License unlocks one Pokémon for good. Prices depend on the Pokémon: guides list most licenses between 6,000 and 14,000 Aeos Coins, with newer Pokémon at the top of that range. If you receive a license you already own from a reward, the game refunds its price in Aeos Coins.

A License selection box lets you choose which license you get, and a Holowear selection box lets you choose an outfit. On an account, they are worth more than random rewards, because you pick exactly the Pokémon you want to play.

Our starter accounts

Our Pokémon UNITE starter account is on the Global version and comes in four options:

• 6,000+ Aeos Tickets, Unite Licenses (Toxtricity among them), License selection boxes and 5 Holowear selection boxes;
• the same base with a trainer outfit box and trainer level 9+, ready for Ranked Matches right away (the trainer is female and cannot be changed);
• 140,000+ Aeos Tickets, 13 Unite Licenses and 9 License selection boxes.

You receive the Nintendo Account (email and password). Link your own email right after delivery, then play on Switch or mobile with the same account.

Can I play on Switch and on my phone?

Yes: Pokémon UNITE plays on Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android, and you sign in with the Nintendo Account on each.
