Suoming Build Guide (Wuthering Waves): Weapons, Echoes and Teams

Suoming is a 5-star Electro Resonator who fights with a sword in Wuthering Waves, featured on the "Nine Deaths, One Unbent Heart" banner until November 11, 2026. She has two roles that perform at a similar level: a Unison sub-DPS next to Hsin, or an on-field main DPS built around her Basic Attacks. This guide sums up the build that the main guides agree on.

Role and kit in brief

• Damage: mostly from her Basic Attacks.
• Unison: her Resonance Liberation, Miasma Lock, gives her Unison for 5 seconds. Switching out with Unison triggers her Outro and buffs the next Resonator.
• Main DPS mode: her Resonance Skill can consume Unison to boost her own Basic Attacks and CRIT DMG instead.
• Forte: her Delusion gauge goes up to 800 and, when full, transforms her Resonance Skill into a finisher.

Best weapons

1. Unspoken Rue (5-star): her signature and best weapon in both roles. In Unison, it gives the team 24% Electro DMG Bonus and Suoming 30% more.
2. Red Spring (5-star): very close to her signature when she plays main DPS.
3. Emerald of Genesis (5-star): the best option from the permanent banner.
4. Lumingloss (4-star) as a main DPS, or Feather Edge (4-star) in Unison: budget options, clearly behind the 5-stars.

Best Echoes

• Set: 5-piece Heart of Sworn Vigil, her best set in both roles. In Unison, 5-piece Moonlit Clouds with Impermanence Heron is a good alternative at low investment.
• Main Echo: Reminiscence: Suhsin the Inevitable as a main DPS, Soulfrayer as a Unison sub-DPS, because it buffs the Resonator coming in next.
• Cost layout: 4-3-3-1-1.

Substats: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG, then ATK% and Basic Attack DMG Bonus, then flat ATK. Energy Regen only matters up to what your team needs: as a main DPS she needs very little, while the Unison role needs a bit more.

Best teams

• Hsin, Suoming and Shorekeeper: her best team, with Suoming as Unison sub-DPS. Verina can replace Shorekeeper.
• Suoming, Lynae and Mornye: a high-investment main-DPS team.
• Suoming, Sanhua and Shorekeeper or Verina: a budget main-DPS team, since Sanhua is a free 4-star.

Skill priority and Sequences

Level her Forte Circuit early in both roles, and Basic Attack too as a main DPS. Her basic Resonance Skill can stay low: guides put it last. S0 already gives her full kit. Guides do not agree on which Sequence is worth it, so we leave that choice to you.

Get Suoming without saving for weeks

FAQ

Is Suoming a main DPS or a support?

Both work. Next to Hsin she is a Unison sub-DPS, and without Hsin she can carry a team as a Basic Attack main DPS.

Is Unspoken Rue required?

No. Red Spring and Emerald of Genesis work well; without her signature, use CRIT Rate on the 4-cost Echo.
