The most common fear when you buy a game account is simple: can the person who made it take it back? This is called an account recovery. Here is how a recovery works, why it becomes very unlikely once you have secured the account, and what we do if something goes wrong.

What an account recovery is

An account recovery is when someone other than you gets back into the account, usually by proving to the game or to the email provider that the account is theirs. It is not a hack in the usual sense: it uses the normal "I lost my account" tools, which are there to protect real owners. That is exactly why they matter after a sale.

How a recovery happens

  • Through the account email. Whoever controls the email can use "Forgot password" and set a new game password. This is the most common way.
  • Through a linked sign-in. If a Google, Apple, Facebook, X or Steam account is linked to the game, its owner can sign in with it, whatever the game password is.
  • Through the email provider. Google, for example, uses the recovery email and recovery phone to check who owns an account, and gives weight to a device and a place where the account is usually used.
  • Through a support ticket. To decide who owns an account, game support teams often ask for details such as the email used to create it, the first device, or past purchases and their receipts.
  • Through an old transfer code. On games that use transfer codes, details kept from before can matter until you set your own.

Why securing the account closes the door

Each way in above depends on something you can change. Once you do, the person who made the account no longer holds any of it:

  1. Change the email password, or move the account to your own email where the game allows it.
  2. Replace the recovery email and phone of the email with yours. Google notes that changes to recovery details can take up to 7 days to take effect, so do it on day one.
  3. Change the game password, at the moment your game's guide recommends.
  4. Unlink sign-ins that are not yours and link your own Google, Apple or Steam account.
  5. Set your own transfer code on games that use one.
  6. Turn on two-step verification wherever the game or the email offers it.

Our reroll and starter accounts are fresh accounts made for resale, not someone's personal account, and each one is delivered with its full login details. Our login guides explain them game by game, and is it safe to buy a gacha account? sums up the routine.

What we do if it happens

If the account does not match its description, or the login details do not work, email us within 48 hours of delivery: we send a replacement or refund your order. That is the warranty set out in our FAQ. Write to us through our contact page with your order number, what the game shows and when it started. If a problem appears later, write to us anyway with the same details.

To be honest: no seller can promise zero risk, and some game publishers restrict account transfers in their terms of service. Securing the account quickly is what keeps the risk low.

FAQ

Can the account be taken back after I change everything?

It becomes very unlikely: the email, the passwords and the linked sign-ins are then yours. A support decision always belongs to the game publisher, which is why you should keep your order email as proof of purchase.

How fast should I secure the account?

Right after you have checked the contents, on the same day. Follow our first 10 minutes checklist: it works for every game in all accounts.
