Zibai Build Guide (Genshin Impact): Weapons, Artifacts and Teams

Zibai is a 5-star Geo sword user in Genshin Impact, and an on-field main DPS built around the Lunar-Crystallize reaction. She comes back in the second phase of Version 7.2, expected from November 24, 2026, next to Linnea. Her kit scales on DEF, not ATK, which changes the usual build. This guide sums up the build that the main guides agree on.

Role and kit in brief

• Role: on-field main DPS for Lunar-Crystallize teams.
• Elemental Skill: puts her in a Lunar Phase Shift mode where her Normal Attacks deal Geo DMG and build Phase Shift Radiance, spent on an enhanced Skill that deals Lunar-Crystallize damage.
• Elemental Burst: two hits, the second one counting as Lunar-Crystallize damage.
• Passive: she turns the party's Hydro Crystallize reactions into Lunar-Crystallize, so she needs a Hydro teammate.

Best weapons

1. Lightbearing Moonshard (5-star): her signature and best in slot, with DEF and a Lunar-Crystallize DMG bonus.
2. Uraku Misugiri (5-star): the strongest alternative, with CRIT DMG and DEF.
3. Light of Foliar Incision (5-star): a good CRIT DMG option.
4. Peak Patrol Song (5-star): a lot of DEF, easy to make work.
5. Harbinger of Dawn (3-star, R5): strong CRIT value, but only while her HP stays above 90%.
6. Flute of Ezpitzal (4-star): the craftable free-to-play option, with DEF.

Best artifacts

• Main set: 4-piece Night of the Sky's Unveiling, her best set by far: it adds CRIT Rate and Lunar reaction DMG.
• Temporary: Husk of Opulent Dreams, until you farm the main set.

Substats: CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG first, then DEF%, then Elemental Mastery, then Energy Recharge. A Geo DMG Goblet is not the right pick here: it does not boost Lunar-Crystallize damage.

Best teams

Zibai wants at least one Hydro and one Geo teammate.

• Hydro: Columbina is her best partner. Without her, Furina, Aino or Xingqiu work with less damage.
• Geo: Illuga (4-star) and Linnea are her best Geo supports. Zhongli is the comfortable choice for a shield.
• Example: Zibai, Columbina, Illuga and Zhongli.

Talent priority

Level her Elemental Skill first, then her Elemental Burst. Guides do not agree on her Normal Attack or on which Constellation to aim for, so we leave those out.

Get Zibai without saving for weeks

FAQ

Why DEF% and not Geo DMG on the Goblet?

Her Lunar-Crystallize damage scales on DEF and is not boosted by Geo DMG Bonus, so DEF% gives more damage.

Can Zibai work without Columbina?

Yes, with Furina, Aino or Xingqiu as Hydro, but with less damage.
